We often think that the best gift someone can give you can have a big red bow and wheels, come in a small jewelry box, have a certain logo you love on it (for me, it’s Apple 😂) or cost a lot of 💰. However, the BEST gifts come from inside of us. And those are gifts that money cannot buy. Without you, there is LITERALLY, no extrenal gift, but most importantly, there’s not the gift of your presence.
I need to preface this podcast by saying that it all starts with you, that you’ are the gift. If you’ve heard the podcast you know what I mean.. if you haven’t, you’ll know what I mean shortly.
We are unique, not-repeatable, a once-in-a-lifetime being— and this Holiday Season we should focus more on being and less on doing.
Don’t get me wrong, I have lots to do this holiday season and despite how deep we go in this season, of course I buy people gifts. I’m an experienced gift-buyer. 😂 But it’s not about the gifts. It’s about presence, connection and love and we can’t lose site of this as we so narrowly focus on checking off items on our to-do list.

I know it’s hard, given that there’s SO many things to do, and every year, it seems like time goes by faster ⏰, but let’s all breathe and be present. This moment is in fact, our gift 🎁. Speaking of gifts, my question for you today is, if you could give ONE gift to the world 🌎 this holiday season, what would it be? I’m making you think, right? 😄That’s good!

When we hear this type of question, automatically, the answer that comes to mind is peace ✌️. That’s what a typical beauty pageant participant would say. And hypothetically speaking, if they were to ever ask you this question in a job interview, on the spot, that’s PROBABLY what you would say. We’ve been conditioned to want peace. And peace is beautiful 🕊, don’t get me wrong, but I want to challenge you to come up with an answer that is not peace. You can do it!

I believe in you 😀! While you think about your answer, let me share with you what my response is because as you know, you share and I share. Right? If I could give ONE gift ☝️ to the world this holiday season, I wouldn’t have to spend money 💰. I wouldn’t have to go to the store 🛒, order anything online 💻, wrap anything 🎁, email anything 🖥, or mail anything 📬. If I could give ONE gift to the world 🌎 this holiday season 🎄, I would give them ME. I know, I know. It sounds SUPER conceited, but hear me out ✋.

Even though I would LOVE for this world 🌍 to have utter peace, after all, I don’t consider 🎵 Imagine by John Lennon to be one of my favorite songs for no reason. Unfortunately, despite how much I love peace and justice and have stood up for justice, I realized that I cannot single-handedly provide peace to the planet. I also would LOVE to eradicate hunger, eradicate thirst, eradicate injustice, give voice to the voiceless and do SO many positive things that I’m choosing to set aside right now. Not because they don’t matter. Of COURSE, they do! But because I have come to learn what my limitations are. So as I said, I want to give them the gift of me, my time ⌚️, my presence 💃, my energy ✨, My femininity 💄, my squishy hugs 🫂, my kisses 💋, my smile 😄, my joy 🎉, my kindness 💖, my beauty 😉, my hope 🙏, my good vibe 💫, There is NO gift that I can put under the Christmas tree 🎄 and hand over to anybody that is worth more than me. For the people who TRULY love me, NOTHING will ever be as valuable as me.

And for the people whom YOU love, nothing will be as valuable as THEM. Think about it. What would you prefer that they give you, a gift? And then leave your life forever? Or their presence? So this Christmas and every day, show them that YOU love them, that you really appreciate their presence In your life. Love them the BEST way you can and most importantly, the best way that they can FEEL it. In other words, learn what their love language is and give them love in that manner. Throughout the year, give them words of affirmation ✍️. Give them physical touch 🤗. Do acts of service 🎖. Give them time 🕰 and give them gifts 💝.

I LOVE giving all of these When we tailor how we show our love to how they like to receive it, it gives them the BEST feeling. However, it’s also important to give from the heart authentically 💗. If you’re EVER lucky enough to receive a card ✉️, a little gift 💝, a bigger gift 🎁, or the most expensive gift 💵 I’ve EVER given someone for me. I hope you truly, truly, TRULY understand that the time and money I spent on whatever I got you does NOT compare to the love I have FOR you. Oh, gosh. I’m feeling like crying 🥹. Love is ALWAYS the motor that allows me to give from the heart ❤️. And love is behind EVERY love language I express.

After all, that’s why they’re called love languages. Let me go beyond this and tell you something else. I have people whom I love on my side of the screen 📲.
