If you need more information about voting please go to iwillvote.com.
If you need a wonderful resource to help you vote intelligently and easily, I HIGHLY recommend this website:
https://bluevoterguide.org/state/
and then type your state after the last forward slash so that it looks like this:
https://bluevoterguide.org/state/california
A shout-out to the coolest state in the nation that deserves MANY more electoral college votes than it has– given its enormous population along with another amazing state for many reasons (cough cough), New York, New York! 🎤
Cue the New York, New York song.
Dun dun dara- run . Dun dun dara-run. 👯👯♀️
https://bluevoterguide.org/state/new-york
(If your state has two words, write a hyphen between the two words).
If you prefer to just find your state from a premade list– go to this URL in which I typed New York together instead of separately on purpose, and it’ll list all the state for you:
www.bluevoterguide.org/state/newyork
Using this guide is especially important for voters in swing states but it’s very handy for people who live in every state so that your government at the local, state and national level works for you, not against you.
As I told my brother, this guide makes voting a pleasure. Wink. Wink. I know I’m maybe getting excited over something that SEEMS mundane… but I don’t know about you, democracy is sexy to me. 😉

episode Transcript
Haydee [00:00:30]:
Well, hello there! Welcome to Voluptuous Questions! My name is Haydee and today, I’m SO excited to put you in the hot seat and interview YOU. So let’s get started. From the very first episode of this Voluptuous Questions podcast, I warned you that I would be the one who DARES to ask questions that nobody else dares to ask or thinks to ask. Today is NOT the exception. Today’s question may be taboo, but given the circumstances and urgency, I don’t care to go there.
Haydee [00:01:22]:
The question I’m about to ask you is especially important for people in the United States to answer after intense and SERIOUS reflection, BUT it can apply to everyone in a unique way. Today’s question is, WHOM are YOU going to vote for? And if you’re not in the U.S., whom are you going to encourage your friends and family in the U.S. to vote for in this upcoming presidential election? If you’re from another country and don’t know anybody in the U.S. please be our voting cheerleaders. PLEASE pray. PLEASE meditate. Please do what you KNOW how to do, to raise the vibration to the HIGHEST vibration possible because we need to get over this hump yet ONCE AGAIN in order to have some resemblance of order and stability. Plus, I know that there are countries in every single continent who have upcoming elections. Some countries are even voting for mayors. So regardless of whom or what you’re voting for, please start by consulting your heart, your soul, and your HIGHEST intelligence to vote with A LOT of common sense and with a loving intention to improve the levels of safety, opportunity, and justice for ALL.
Haydee [00:03:08]:
Even though this question about whom you’re voting for may be uncomfortable, there is one conversational advantage. The upside to this potential discomfort you might be feeling is that today I’m NOT going to ask you to share whom you’ll be voting for by visiting @VoluptuousQuestions , sending me a message by going to www.voluptuousquestions.com/contact or leaving a comment on today’s shownotes by visiting www.voluptuousquestions.com/podcasts. But you can if you want to. Instead, I’d like for you to tell me there if you DID YOUR duty as a responsible citizen that cares about their country and planet and ACTUALLY voted. So basically, it’s a yes or no question, which I obviously hope it’s a yes. Notice that today’s voluptuous question is NOT, IF you’re going to vote, it’s whom you’re going to vote FOR. And by the way, please don’t write any names in. I mean, we don’t need that.
Haydee [00:04:37]:
The question also isn’t an invitation for you to say neither because you don’t support either one of their agendas or ideologies. But I do think it’s really important that you analyze their character because it’s the foundation on which decisions are made. And because when people don’t have full command of their ego and their stability, very serious and dangerous things can happen and have happened, and we don’t want to repeat those lessons that history should have already taught us, but here we are. So apparently it hasn’t. Can I personally think of an agenda more to MY liking? Of course! But these are the candidates that we have. We cannot throw a tantrum and toss our vote in the trash just because there are things we would like to tweak. And our vote, no matter what anybody says, does matter.
Haydee [00:05:48]:
So please make your voice known and be loud and clear. We ONLY have ONE chance to save democracy, to save our country, and to have at least this level of peace on Earth as we know it. We cannot mess this up. I know that the last two elections in the U.S, HAVEN’T been super inspiring, but they’ve been CRITICAL. In one of them, a lot of people sat on the sidelines and we all saw what unfortunately happened and forever changed the course of history for bad. Hopefully, we learned our lesson. In the other one, MORE people voted and we were able to START saving democracy. BUT if we sit this election out, it can be in dire danger once again. And this time, I honestly think it won’t survive.
Haydee [00:06:59]:
For better or worse, we’ve been conditioned to want very high levels of excitement to make us do yet ONE MORE THING in our busy agenda. Believe me. I get it. And it’s understandable that you’re mentally drained of what seems to be Groundhog Day over and over again when it comes to elections, but you MUST persist. You must NOT give up. If you haven’t, please register to vote early by going to vote.gov to ensure that you’re ready to vote in your state. And if it’s too late for you to be signed up to vote early by the time that you hear this podcast, PLEASE, for the love of all things, holy, be prepared to vote on election day as EARLY in the day as possible. Ask for your day off if you need to.
Haydee [00:08:02]:
Hire a babysitter. Have a plan because when you fail to plan, you plan to fail, and we can’t afford that. We need you. Yes. You. Your voice is important. It matters. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you all this time.
Haydee [00:08:23]:
That’s why I want to converse with you. That’s why I’m interested in you. That’s why I ask YOU questions. That’s why I centered this entire podcast around you and your self-reflection because you’re a treasure and you have jewels inside and you have powers like that of voting that can lead us as a human race to a better place, to a peaceful place, to a secure place, to the place of your dreams, but you MUST participate. Is that clear? And as I said, I know you’re busy. We ALL are. And I know that your to-do list, like mine, has probably been growing since you were 16 and it has never stopped. BUT there is NO greater collective mission that we’re facing right now than VOTING and making the heroic choice at the polls and on our ballots.
Haydee [00:09:33]:
Make SURE that your vote is one that benefits THE most amount of people and not one that blames everybody else for YOUR poor choices. You KNOW that I don’t ask you for much and to be honest with you, it’s because asking for things is hard for me. But today, I’m asking you to PLEASE vote. In my family, in real life, I’m actually the person who encourages and reminds others to vote. And since YOU’RE now an important part of my life, I’m encouraging you to vote and to help me motivate other people to do the same, whether by knocking doors, through text messages, through social media, or however else you feel comfortable. I don’t know about you, but I have a feeling that many of us are not saying this, but that deep down, we ARE excited to vote for whom we’ll vote for. I can’t WAIT for a positive outcome. I think many of us are waiting to exhale and feel a DEEP sense of relief.
Haydee [00:10:51]:
But in the meantime, we STILL have work to do. PLEASE help us get there. Even though we can shine bright, regardless of who’s in power, it’s easier on our psychological, emotional, and physical selves to live in societies that we help create with our vote that provide us with a brighter future and one we can flourish in instead of live in fear in. We’re not an island. We live in communities. We live in states. We live in countries. We live in continents.
Haydee [00:11:33]:
We live on this planet. So our ability to shine and live happily depends to some degree on what’s going on around us collectively. Yes. I’m emotional sharing this with you and asking this from you. It’s REALLY THAT important to me. Remember, you’re the star of this podcast and the star of your life. Keep shining brightly always. And yes, I said that with tears in my eyes because I do hope, I do pray for, and I do ask the universe that we live in countries all around the world where we feel that we can devote our energy to actually shining instead of just surviving and coexisting.
Haydee [00:12:40]:
Sending you blessings, sending you wisdom, sending you love and light and positive vibes because we must have faith. My grandmother always said that faith is the last thing that perishes and we must not let it perish. We CAN’T let it. It would be devastating and we deserve MUCH, MUCH more than that. So do the generations that come after us. So please do your part. Please vote 🗳️ . Thank you. 🙏
