Valentine’s Day. Just saying those two words can make you want to listen closer– or repel you and make you want to run away. 😂
Isn’t it (pardon the word but…) CRAZY that a day that’s supposed to be devoted to love be disliked by SO many people.
The weird thing is that there are holidays, like Grandparent’s Day or Sibbling’s Day for example– that honor the people we love but yet we couldn’t even name when these holidays occur because worldwide– or even in this nation, they’re not that important. Sadly.
But Valentine’s Day is an opportunity for ALL of us to share our love with others and with ourselves.
Yet there are some people who dread this day and wish they had a fast-forward button to just have this day be done and over with.
That’s sad. It’s a wasted opportunity. And no, I’m not saying that you have to buy everybody a gift. It’s not Christmas all over again. But wishing someone a Happy Valentine’s Day or telling them you value them. That doesn’t cost a thing. Neither does hugging them, kissing them, being kind with them, giving them your time. All of these are love languages that are free to give. And being kind with others boosts their immune system, your immune system, and the people who witness these kind deeds. Dr. Wayne Dyer taught us that… and I’ve spoken about that in a prior podcast episode.
So… regardless of the ups and downs of life– or how long we’ve been or haven’t been in a romantic relationship– the world NEEDS love. All the problems in the world are due to the lack of love… and you want to withhold love just because you don’t have a guy or a girl in your life?
That’s absurd. Sorry.
So yeah. I know that you’re either going to listen to this podcast or not based on your Valentine’s Day bias, but I hope that you can at least give this holiday the opportunity to show you that it’s a beautiful way to connect with yourself and others.
Your attractiveness has nothing to do with it.. so stop making it about that– and instead as I always say– keep shining brightly ALWAYS— and that includes shining your love– it doesn’t cost a thing… and everybody in the world is invited to this love fest. EVERYBODY. Including YOU!

Haydee [00:00:30]:
Hello! Welcome to today’s episode of Voluptuous Questions! My name is Haydee, and today, I’m going to interview YOU! Today’s question is, are you one of the people who likes Valentine’s Day or dislikes it? The reason I decided to ask you this question, other than the fact that Valentine’s Day is the highlight of this month, is because this is a holiday that can be quite polarizing. Some people LOVE it. Some people dislike it, and there are others who get depressed because they don’t want to feel unloved or alone on that day. There are also those people who DO have a romantic partner and have meaningful and close friendships who THINK that this is just a day that encourages us to spend more money. I believe that it’s NOT necessary to spend money on Valentine’s Day and that ignoring this day just because you don’t want to spend any money on it, makes the people around that type of person feel LESS important and LESS loved.
Haydee [00:01:53]:
Personally, I LOVE Valentine’s Day. I’ve ALWAYS loved it! It doesn’t matter if I get anything or not, although I always get something from several people. To me, it’s a day to celebrate love and you already know how I feel about celebrations, I encourage them because we are NOT granted another sunrise or sunset for that matter. And here in my country, Valentine’s Day also allows us to show our love and appreciation to our friends and family. And their love is SUPER meaningful to me. On top of that, I’m a romantic at heart, so I LITERALLY don’t have the heart to say no to a day devoted to celebrating love.
Haydee [00:02:44]:
As a matter of fact, I think that there should be more than 1 Valentine’s Day per year. Heck. every day should be like Valentine’s Day. When we give from the heart, when we surprise people with our most heartfelt words, gifts, touches, acts of service and time, it feels delicious. It replenishes our soul. It brightens our day. And it allows us to focus on what TRULY matters in life, Which is love, joy, and connection. While it is nice to receive love from others, it’s also very nice to give love to others.
Haydee [00:03:31]:
And there’s nobody better to impress exactly like they would love than YOU. YOU are the greatest love of your life. You’ve been with you EVERY step of the way, and you’ll continue to be with you until your VERY last day. So instead of expecting others to offer you their love some way on Valentine’s Day or any other day, give YOURSELF a healthy dose of love. As a matter of fact, let’s do a little activity right now so that you can rediscover what makes you glow. I’ve created a special Valentine’s Day PDF for you so that you can fill it out. You can access it by going to www.voluptuousquestions.com/podcasts . And when you’re there, pick today’s episode.
Haydee [00:04:31]:
You can print it out and fill it out by hand or you can use PDF Expert, which is a software I love, and fill it out on your computer. Let me give you a sneak peek about what these questions are while at the same time revealing my own answers. What do I think is the most romantic flower? Red roses, for sure. The most romantic gesture? A true love’s kiss. The most romantic words? I love you. The most romantic type of restaurant? An Italian restaurant with spicy and delicious pasta. The most romantic fruit? Cherries and strawberries, especially if you feed it to your significant other.
Haydee [00:05:33]:
My imagination is starting to go wild. 😂 After you answer these questions on your PDF, please add your own question and answer it. Even though my questions seem like these are things that you can only do with a romantic partner, you can actually buy yourself the flowers 💐 that you think are so wonderful and the fruit that you wrote down and take yourself to that restaurant on Valentine’s Day or days before or after it. And you can also tell yourself the words that you think are the most loving. Why not? And finally, at the bottom of that PDF sheet, write one way in which you will give yourself love this week. I would LOVE to hear what makes YOU feel loved. Please share with me by leaving a comment on the website I told you, by sending me a private message on www.voluptuousquestions.com/contact or leaving me a comment on @VoluptuousQuestions over on TikTok. And if you have some extra love in your heart, PLEASE share that love with others.
Haydee [00:06:54]:
Even the words Happy Valentine’s Day or have a wonderful day can improve someone’s day, and these words don’t cost anything but a little bit of love, which I seriously hope you have in abundance. Before I go, I want to tell you 2 things. Number 1, I truly, truly, truly hope that YOU have a lovely Valentine’s Day and possibly the best one you’ve ever had. And by the way, I know that not every country in the world celebrates Valentine’s Day this month or even this week, some celebrate it toward the end of this month and others a couple months down the line, like in June. Secondly, remember you’re the star of this podcast and the star of your life. Keep shining brightly ALWAYS ✨⭐️✨. See you on the next one. And if you really, really, really, really love this podcast, I would truly appreciate it if you subscribe to the podcast over on Spotify and give it 5 stars on Spotify.
Haydee [00:08:10]:
Thank you so much for everything 🤗. Take care, guys. Can’t wait to talk to you again. Love you lots💘. Bye.
